| Bruce Mapes (1901?–February 18, 1961) was a American figure skater from the early 1900s. In 1913 he invented the flip jump and in 1920 the toeloop, which is called by his last name in artistic roller skating. Later he was a lighting director for NBC in New York and died in Fair Haven, New Jersey.
