Bruce Matthew Tanner (born December 9, 1961 in New Castle, Pennsylvania) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher and current coach.

Tanner played one season for the Chicago White Sox in 1985, appearing in 10 games and starting 4 of them. He was credited with one win, two losses, and a 5.35 ERA. He also pitched for several years in the minor leagues.

After retiring as a player, he spent the 1990s as a minor league pitching coach for several teams before becoming the Bullpen Coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates before the 2001 season.

Bruce Tanner is the son of Chuck Tanner
, who played parts of 8 seasons in the majors (1955-1962) and managed for 19 years (1970-1988).
