Chad Henne (born July 2, 1985 in West Lawn, Pennsylvania) is an American football quarterback (QB) who plays for the Michigan Wolverines. In his first two years he has led the team to two postseason bowl games, including the prestigious Rose Bowl. Recently, Henne received criticism after leading the Wolverines to a 7-5 season in 2005, their worst record since 1984.

Henne began his career at Michigan starting as a true freshman. Alongside freshman tailback Mike Hart, he galvanized an explosive Michigan offensive unit featuring such stars as Braylon Edwards and Jason Avant. Henne's freshman season was highlighted by a triple-overtime win over rival Michigan State University as well as an appearance in the Rose Bowl against the University of Texas at Austin. After the 2004-2005 season, Henne was considered one of the rising stars in college football.

After a rough start to the 2005-2006 season, critics hounded Henne, blaming him with one of the worst starts in Wolverine history. Henne's perceived inability to perform under pressure, coupled with Mike Hart's ankle injury, led to the team losing against Minnesota and arch-rival Ohio State. The Outback Bowl bypassed Michigan in favor of Iowa, and the Wolverines' loss to Nebraska in the Alamo Bowl capped a disappointing year.
