Chris Barnes, born in the United States of America, is one of the worlds leading Ten-pin bowlers. He is a member of the PBA (Professional Bowlers Association). He is right-handed and is one of the leading pros on the Tour today. In 1999 Chris married Linda Barnes whom is also a leading Ten-pin bowler.

Chris is a memers of the Team USA in the 2006 World Tenpin Masters.

His style may not be as spectacular as that of a cranker, it is however very effective. He brings a lot of emotion to the game and tries to get into his opponents head. A nice anecdote about him from a few years ago - Barnes was playing Mike Scroggins in their championship match at the Nashville Open 2001, he had just seen Scroggins make a very difficult spare and the crowd went wild. Barnes knew a conversion like this by Scroggins was the kind of momentum-grabber that could turn the match against him, but Barnes did not wait for it and threw two big strikes. When he walked back to his seat he said to Scroggins, just loud enough for the audience to hear it: 'Make all the spares you want'. With this action Barnes let his opponent know the momentum was in his favour and he went on to win the match. Due to his skill and mentality Barnes is a hard nut to crack and feared by every opponent.
