Chris Collins is a basketball player and coach from Northbrook, Illinois. He was the best four year varsity player at Glenbrook North High School until Jonathan Scheyer started as a freshman during the 2002-2003 season and played for four seasons. The school is located at 2300 Shermer Road in Northbrook, Illinois. His awards during 1992 include Mr. Basketball of Illinois, McDonald's All American, and McDonald's All American 3 point champion. After graduating from Glenbrook North he went on to play at Duke University. He also received many honors at Duke. He was on the All-ACC rookie team during his freshmen season in 1993. During his senior year, he was team captain. In his senior year, he was Second-Team All ACC. Also during his senior year he won the Swett Memorial Trophy, which is a trophy for Duke's MVP.

After graduating from Duke, he played professional basketball in Finland for two years. He then became an assistant coach in the WNBA for the Detroit Shock for two years. He then was a Seton Hall assistant coach for three years. In 2000, he returned to his alma mater at Duke as an assistant coach to the present day.
