Christopher "Chris" Jon Widger (born May 21, 1971 in Wilmington, Delaware) is a catcher for the Chicago White Sox. After being a third round pick in 1992 Widger has played for the Seattle Mariners (1995-1996, 2000), Montréal Expos (Now Washington Nationals) (1997-2000), New York Yankees (2002), St. Louis Cardinals (2003), and Chicago White Sox (2005-present). He is currently the backup catcher for the Chicago White Sox behind A.J. Pierzynski

Widger has had 9 years of MLB service. After playing all of the 2004 season in the minors Widger made the Chicago White Sox as a back up. He usually plays catcher, but has played at 1st base, 3rd base, and in the outfield once. He is also a graduate of George Mason University and Pennsville Memorial High School, Pennsville, NJ.
