| Chuck Cecil is a former American Football (NFL) strong safety who played for the Green Bay Packers (1988-1992), Arizona Cardinals (1993), and the Houston Oilers (1995). Cecil was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1992. Cecil currently coaches the Tennessee Titans secondary. Cecil played football in college for the University of Arizona Wildcats, where he set a school record with four interceptions against Stanford in 1987 and longest return, 106 yards to win the game in the final minutes against school rival Arizona State University. Cecil lived on the edge of the defensive scheme, punishing opposing players with jarring hits that resulted in numerous fines throughout his tenure in the NFL. He was once featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated with the caption, "Too Vicious for the NFL?"
