| Cliff "Johnny Bax" Josephy is an American professional poker player from Syosset, New York. Josephy was an online poker pro prior to getting involved in major live poker tournaments during 2004. At the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Josephy won a bracelet in the $1,500 seven-card stud event, defeating Kirill Gerasimov in the final heads-up confrontation, despite it being his first ever stud tournament, and having only received a crash course in how to play stud from Scott Fischman prior to the event's start. He has also finished in the money in three World Poker Tour (WPT) events. As of 2005, his total live tournament winnings exceed $260,000.
