Cousin Elmer was best known as an independent professional wrestler, but also served as a jobber and extra for the WWE. He competed in many independent promotions, including the NWA, WWO, SCW, PWX, Mason-Dixon Wrestling, and Heartland Wrestling Alliance. He has been in many tag teams such as Death Row (As Manslaughter Mike with Kal Konvick), Country Cousins (as Cousin Elmer with RJ Stomper), Hillbillies (As Cousin Elmer with Country Boy Chris), and Xtreme Militia (As Major Agony with Colonel Payne). Among his most proud achievements is making the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 500 (#468) as his alter ego "Major Agony."

He is not to be confused with the World Wrestling Federation's Uncle Elmer from the 1980's who was played by Stan Frazier.
