| Craig Michael Titus (born January 14, 1965 in Wyandotte, Michigan) is an American IFBB professional bodybuilder. Titus is of French (mother) and Greek (father) origin and lived most of his early life in Detroit, Michigan, in a city called Riverview. He has a younger brother, Kevin, and a younger sister, Nicole. Titus wrestled for his school team in high school at 132 lbs., and after graduation decided to put on some muscle via weight training. When Titus graduated from high school he was 5'6" and 140lbs. By the age of 21, he was 5'9" and 185lbs. Once he started seeing good results from weight training, he decided to become a bodybuilder. Craig's first bodybuilding show was the 1988 Houston Bodybuilding Championships in which he won the Men's Open middleweight class and the overall title. Drug chargesIn April of 1995 in Louisiana, Titus pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute Methylenedioxymethamphetamine or "Ecstasy." He was sentenced to 16 months of "house arrest" via monitoring with an electronic anklet. In July of 1997, Titus was sentenced to 21 months in jail for violating his probation by using anabolic steroids.Murder chargesIn December 2005, Titus and his wife Kelly Ryan entered the news for being accused of the murder of Melissa James, their personal assistant, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple were arrested in Stoughton, Massachusetts after fleeing cross-country and are being held in jail in Las Vegas. According to the FBI, there was intelligence that they might have been trying to get to Greece. Craig Titus is of Greek descent and he had expressed an interest in going somewhere where they wouldn't extradite him. In February 2006, after being extradited to Nevada from Boston, Titus and Ryan were denied bail at their hearing.
