| Daniel John Fortmann (born April 11, 1916, in Pearl River, New York, USA; died May 23, 1995) was a professional football player for the Chicago Bears. He attended Colgate University. A Phi Beta Kappa scholar, Fortmann was the Bears' ninth draft pick in 1936 by owner-founder George Halas as a guard. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1965. Fortmann was also a doctor.
