Darren Mallory Sharper (born November 3, 1975 in Richmond, Virginia) is an American football free safety who plays for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. Sharper graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1997. Prior to 2005, he played for the Green Bay Packers. Darren is the younger brother of Seattle Seahawks linebacker Jamie Sharper
. Sharper is also noted for his liberal political interests; in 2004 he endorsed John Kerry for president.
