| : This article is about tennis player Don McNeill. For the radio host, see Don McNeill (performer). William Donald McNeill (April 30, 1918 - November 28, 1996) was an American male tennis player. He was born in Chicksha, Oklahoma and died in Vero Beach, Florida, United States. In 1939 he became the second American to win the French championships (after Don Budge). Only seven American men in the history of the French Open have won the singles title. He was named to the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1965. Grand Slam recordFrench championships
