| Don Willis (May 1, 1909 to March 2, 1984) was a legendary and colorful pool hustler and billiards player from Canton, Ohio. At the time, cash prizes for pool tournaments did not pay enough for a full time income, so Don traveled the country playing private pool games for money. Because Don did not play in tournaments his talent was never widely recognized beyond a close circle of friends and family. In addition to pool, Don played the game of ping pong so well he could win games playing with a bottle as a paddle.
