| Dustin Michael Hermanson (born December 21, 1972 in Springfield, Ohio) is a right-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball with the Chicago White Sox. After being selected in the 1st round of the 1994 amateur draft by, and playing for, the San Diego Padres, he bounced around the majors, playing for the Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, and San Francisco Giants before coming to the White Sox. In the 2005 season, Hermanson became the White Sox closer, pitching in 19 games without giving up a run.
