| Dwayne Rudd (born February 3, 1976) is an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent in the National Football League. During his career he has played for the Minnesota Vikings, the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The event for which he is perhaps most remembered was costing his team a game by removing his helmet as the time expired, causing a penalty which allowed the opposing team to score a field goal for the win. He also shares the records for the most total fumble recoveries for touchdowns in a season and most opponent fumble recoveries for touchdowns in a season. He has two in both catergories.
