| Ed Olczyk (born August 16, 1966, Chicago, Illinois, USA) is a Polish-American and formerly the head coach for the National Hockey League Pittsburgh Penguins and former center for Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins. He served as head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins from June 11, 2003 until December 15, 2005. Despite adding marquee free-agents, the Penquins started the season with a disapointing 8-17-6 leading to Olczyk's dismissal on December 15.
He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, First Round, Third Overall.
