| Edward Wayne Spiezio (born October 31, 1941 in Joliet, Illinois) is a former third baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the World Series-winning 1967 St. Louis Cardinals team. He also played for the San Diego Padres and the Chicago White Sox. His son, Scott Spiezio, is a also a former Major League player and is currently attempting a comeback with the Cardinals' organization. Ed Spiezio's best season came in 1970 for the Padres, when he hit .285 with 12 home runs, and 42 RBIs.
