| Eric Weinrich (born 19 December, 1966 in Roanoke, Virginia) is an American ice hockey defenseman who currently plays for the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL. Weinrich was drafted 32nd overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. He has played 1,082 career NHL games, scoring 69 goals and 302 assists for 371 points. He grew up in the small town of Gardiner, Maine, and played his college hockey at the University of Maine. On March 9th 2006, Eric was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2006 third round draft pick and Defenseman Tomas Mojzis.
