| Ernest Givins (born November 3, 1964) is a former National Football League wide receiver who played for the Houston Oilers from 1986 through 1994, and for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995. He went to the Pro Bowl twice; first in 1990 and again in 1992. Givens played college football at the University of Louisville. Givins is the pioneer behind the end zone celebration known as the "electric slide."
