Eugene 'Gene' Humphrey Kingsale is a former Major League Baseball player with the Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres and Detroit Tigers from 1996 until 2003. Eugene Kingsale was born in August 20th, 1976 in Solito, Aruba. He is listed at 6'3" and 170 pounds. He is a switch hitter and throws with his right hand. He has played extensively for The Netherlands national team in international competition, including the World Cup of Baseball, the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece as well as most recently, the World Baseball Classic in March, 2006.

Kingsale was signed by the Baltimore Orioles as an amateur free agent on June 19th, 1993. He made his debut with the Orioles on September 3rd, 1996. On July 10th, 2001, he was selected off waivers by the Seattle Mariners from the Baltimore Orioles. On June 14, 2002, he was selected off waivers by the San Diego Padres from the Seattle Mariners. On November 15, 2002, he was traded by the San Diego Padres to the Detroit Tigers for Mike Rivera. On September 29, 2003, he was granted free agency and signed with the San Diego Padres on November 9th of that year. He is currently a member of the Baltimore Orioles organization and has been since June 1, 2004.
