| Fernando Tatis, Jr. (born January 1 1975 in San Pedro de MacorĂs, Dominican Republic) is a former third baseman in Major League Baseball. He is the only major league player to hit two grand slams in the same inning; both home run balls were served up by the same pitcher, Chan Ho Park. His is mostly remembered for having a career year in 1999 when he hit 34 homeruns, 107 RBI, 21 SB, and an impressive .298 batting average when he played with the St. Louis Cardinals. Tatis has been invited to 2006 spring training by the Baltimore Orioles as a nonroster invitee. .
