| Frederick William "Fred" Schule (September 27, 1879 - September 14, 1962) was an American athlete, winner of 110 m hurdles at the 1904 Summer Olympics. Born in Fairfield, Ohio, Fred Schule, from University of Michigan, was an AAU Champion in 120 yd hurdles in 1903. Despite that, Schule wasn't considered as a favourite to the Olympic Champion title in St. Louis. The main favourites were the 1903 and 1904 IC4A Champion in 120 yd hurdles Edwin Clapp, who didn't show up in the heats and Thaddeus Schideler, who had run under Alvin Kraenzlein's world record (15.2) just a month before the Olympic final, but whose record (15.0) wasn't registered because the time was taken only by two stoppers. In St. Louis, Schule won his heat easily and beat Schideler in the final by two yards. Fred Schule died in New York City, aged 82.
