| Gene Conley, born Donald Eugene Conley (November 10, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, USA) is a former baseball and basketball player. He has been one of a small number of players to reach the high level in both sports. Conley played with the 1957 World Series champions Milwaukee Braves and NBA champions Boston Celtics from 1959-61 (1959-61). He also was the winning pitcher in the 1954 All-Star Game. In 11 seasons pitching for the Braves, Phillies and Red Sox, Conley posted a 91-96 with 888 strikeouts and a 3.82 ERA in 1588.2 innings.
