| Gene Hickerson (born February 15, 1935) is a former American Football offensive guard who played for the Cleveland Browns in a fifteen year career from 1958 to 1973. Hickerson was a six time Pro Bowler from 1965 to 1970. Hickerson is considered as one of the greatest offensive guards ever to played American football that is still not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was a three time finalist for it. Hickerson blocked for Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly in his National Football League career and is was elected to the Cleveland Browns legends team and the NFL's All 1960's team. Hickerson played college football in the University of Mississippi.
