Geoffrey Michael Petrie (born April 17, 1948 in Darby, Pennsylvania) is the Sacramento Kings President of Basketball Operations (as of 2006) and a former NBA player for the Portland Trail Blazers. At 6'4 he could play either guard or forward positions and was a deadly long range shooter in an era devoid of the three-point line. He played in two All-Star games and in 1971, the Blazers' first year in existence, was named co-Rookie of the Year with Dave Cowens
. As an executive he has won the NBA Executive of the Year Award twice with the Sacramento Kings.
