| George Joseph Mullin (born July 4, 1880, Toledo, Ohio - died January 7, 1944, Wabash, Indiana) was a pitcher with a fourteen year career from 1902 to 1915. He played for the Detroit Tigers and Washington Senators both of the American League and the Indianapolis Hoosiers and Newark Peppers both of the Federal League. George Mullin accompanied the Tigers to three consecutive World Series beginning in 1907. In the postseason, he had a record of 3-3 with a 1.86 ERA. He led the American League in 1909 with 29 wins. A five-time twenty game winner, George Mullin won 228 games in his career. He threw two no-hitters, the first one on 1909 opening day and the second on his birthday in 1912.
