Athletes - Gerard Phelan

Gerard Phelan played wide receiver for the Boston College Eagles. He is most famous for catching the infamous "Hail Mary" pass from Doug Flutie
to defeat the Miami Hurricanes on November 22, 1984. After Flutie flung the ball from his own 37-yard line, Phelan got behind the Miami defense and the ball fell into his hands. Flutie's 48-yard pass to Phelan is arguably the greatest play in college football history.
