Glenn Edward Hoffman (born July 7 1958 in Orange, California) is a former shortstop in Major League Baseball and the current third base coach for the San Diego Padres. Previously, he was the third base coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and in 1998 he took over the managerial position for the final half of the season when Bill Russell
was fired along with general manager Fred Claire. In 1991, he began his coaching career, and in 1998, he was hired by the Dodgers as their third base coach.
