| Harold Everett Greer (born June 26, 1936 in Huntington, West Virginia) is a former pro basketball player. He played his college ball at Marshall University and is well-known for his time as sidekick of Wilt Chamberlain on the Philadelphia 76ers, especially the 1967 team that ended the 8 year championship-winning streak of the Boston Celtics. Greer is usually considered the 3rd best guard of the 60s, behind Oscar Robertson and Jerry West. His hometown has honored his success by naming the main artery between campus/downtown and the interstate highway 'Hal Greer Blvd.' [ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Hal Greer ] Some related entries: David Sime | Jim Londos | Caroline Bruce | Cornelius Griffin | Luis Sánchez | Sam Hornish, Jr. | Rick Upchurch | Joe Bellino | Jon Garland | Jamaal Wilkes | Alan Page This page is based on the copyrighted Wikipedia article Hal Greer; it is used under the GNU Free Documentation License.
