Athletes - Hannah Kearney

Hannah Kearney is an American moguls skier who competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.

A gold medal favorite entering her first Olympics, Kearney, from Vermont had a poor first run and did not make it out of the qualification round. She stumbled, but did not fall, after landing her first jump. Her score of 20.80 points put her in 10th at that point, with 20 skiers left to compete. After the second-to-last skier, she was officially bumped out of the top 20, which is the ranking she would have needed to advance to the final.

Hannah Kearney won the World Championships in 2005. Hannah also won four junior world championship titles in moguls and is a three time Vermont all-state high school soccer player.

She said on Rizzo Sports Weekly in early January, that she was feeling good about the Olympics and liked her chances to bring home gold. She want to represent her country and bring back a gold to the east coast.
