| Harlond Benton (Darkie) Clift (August 12, 1912 - April 27, 1992) was a third baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the St Louis Browns (1934-1943) and Washington Senators (1943-1945). Clift batted and threw right handed. He was born in El Reno, Oklahoma. In a 12-season career, Clift was a .272 hitter with 178 home runs and 829 RBI in 1582 games played. He made the American League All-Star team in 1937. Clift died in Yakima, Washington, at age of 79.
