| Harry J. Gallatin (born April 26, 1927 in Roxana, Illinois) is a former pro basketball player and coach. After playing college basketball at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Truman State University), Gallatin played nine seasons for the New York Knicks in the NBA from 1948 to 1957, as well as one final season with the Detroit Pistons in 1958. In 1954 he was named All-NBA-First-Team for the one and only time of his career. He started his coaching career in 1962 with the St. Louis Hawks and was named NBA Coach of the Year in his first season. He later coached the New York Knicks for 63 games over two seasons as well.
