Hassan Adams (born June 20, 1984, in Los Angeles, California) is a collegiate men's basketball player in the NCAA. He attends The University of Arizona where he is in his senior year. Adams plays primarily at the small forward position under coach Lute Olson. He wears number 21. Adams is a preseason candidate for the 2006 John R. Wooden Award for the best collegiate men's basketball player.

High school career

Hassan Adams attended Westchester High School in Westchester, California, where he averaged 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists while leading his team to a 32-2 record, the California State Division I-A Championship, and a USA Today No. 1 ranking in his senior year. A McDonald’s All-American and second team Parade All-America pick. Named California Mr. Basketball, the first guard to receive the honor since Baron Davis in 1997.

Collegiate career

Adams averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists a game is junior year. His sophomore year he averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists a game.

Senior Troubles

As a senior Hassan Adams was dubbed team leader but ran into trouble with the law in early spring of 2006 where he was charged with disorderly conduct. Later, on March 5th 2006, Hassan Adams was charged with a DUI for driving with a blood alcohol level of .124 (.044 above the Arizona legal limit of .08). As a result Hassan Adams was suspended from what would have been his last Pac-10 tournament.
