| Herbert Seidman was a U.S. Senior Master of chess. He played several times in the U.S. Chess Championship. He was known for his swashbuckling-style, playing risky or sacrificial openings such as the Orang-Utan attack. One year, Seidman won the most games of any player in the U.S. Championship, but he also lost the most games and, as a result, finished last.
