| Jason Stokes (Born: January 23, 1982 in Irving, Texas) is a first baseman for the Florida Marlins. Stokes was drafted in the second round of the 2000 MLB Draft by the Florida Marlins. He participated in the 2002 Futures Game during All-Star Weekend, playing for the United States team. Earned "Best Power Prospect" honors in the Southern League according to Baseball America's Minor League Best Tools Survey. He was ranked as the Marlins number four prospect and "Best Power Prospect" entering the 2005 season according to Baseball America. He has been held back by injuries, especially to his wrist, which now has been shown to be completly healthy, and is now ready for his chance at the big leagues.
