Jeff Frye is a former baseball player who played second base for the Texas Rangers, the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and the Colorado Rockies. He is 5'9 and 165 lbs. and he bats and throws right.

In 1992, he made his debut with the Texas Rangers and for three and a half years (because he didn't play in 1993 due to injury) he played in Texas. Then in 1996 he got traded to the Boston Red Sox. He had a career year in 1997 when he played in 127 games. He hit 6 home runs 126 hit and hitting 310 AVG. He missed the entire 1998 season due to an injury but returned for the 1999 season. He didn't play that much though, only playing in 47 games. In the beginning of the 2000 season he started off with the Boston Red Sox playing in 69 games but on July 27,2000 he got traded to the Colorado Rockies with Brian Rose and John Wasdin in exchange for Rolando Arrojo, Rick Croushore and Mike Lansing and he finished the season with the Rockies playing in 39 games. On December 11,2000 he got signed as a free agent with the Toronto Blue Jays to play with them in the 2001 season. On August 3,2001 at a game in the SkyDome aphids were in the ballpark causing him to wear a mask on his face for the whole game.

He made hiatory on August 17,2001 when he became the second Blue Jays in history to hit for the cycle the Blue Jays. Previously, the only Blue Jays player to hit for the cycle was Kelly Gruber.
