| James Blair Bibby (born October 29, 1944 in Franklinton, North Carolina) was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, and Pittsburgh Pirates from 1972 to 1984. Bibby is the brother of basketball player Henry Bibby and uncle of current NBA player Mike Bibby. He was primarily a starting pitcher, although he also worked in relief towards the latter part of his career. He was an integral part of the 1979 Pirates team, who won the 1979 World Series. On July 30, 1973, while with the Rangers, he pitched a no-hitter against the Oakland Athletics, the first no-hitter in franchise history (from 1961 to 1971 the franchise had been known as the Washington Senators). He had a career record of 111-101 and a career 3.76 ERA.
