Jim Fahey (born May 11, 1979 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays for the San Jose Sharks of the NHL.

Fahey was drafted in the 8th round, 212th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.

In the 2002-2003 season, his rookie year, Fahey was San Jose's rookie of the year. If his point totals were prorated to a full 82-game schedule, he would have led all rookies in points.

In the 2003-2004 season, Fahey battled with pneumonia, and after recording only 2 points in fifteen games, was sent to San Jose's AHL affiliate in Cleveland.
