| JoAnne Carner (b April 4 1939 Kirkland, Washington) is an American professional golfer. Carner turned professional after an extended amateur career during which she accumulate five U.S. Amateur titles. She won forty-three events on the LPGA Tour, including one win as an amateur and two major championships, namely the 1971 and 1976 U.S. Opens. She topped the LPGA Tour's money list in 1971, 1982 and 1983, and finished in the top ten on the money list twelve times between 1971 and 1984. She is nicknamed "Big Mama".
