Joe Hamilton was a successful college quarterback at Georgia Tech from 1996 to 1999. He was a Heisman Trophy finalist his senior year, receiving the second most votes behind Wisconsin running back Ron Dayne
. He was drafted in the 7th round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played as the emergency quarterback for the Bucaneers before being relegated to NFL Europe, where led the Frankfurt Galaxy to 5-2 record in 2002. He was called up by the Indianapolis Colts in 2004 to play as Peyton Manning
's backup but only saw limited action in one game before he went to Arena football.

He is currently living in Atlanta and finishing his degree in History, Technology, and Society at Georgia Tech.

He is a sports analyst for Georgia Tech Radio network, as well as starting quarterback for the Orlando Predators, where he set the franchise record for touchdown to interception ratio. He has a 24-13 record as the Predators starter.

Joe was born Joseph Fitzgerald Hamilton on March 13, 1977 in Alvin, South Carolina. He was raised by his parents Joseph and Ginger Hamilton. He played high school football and basketball for Macedonia High School in South Carolina.
