Joseph David Magrane (born July 2, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher and current color commentary broadcaster for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, teamed with play-by-play announcer Dewayne Staats
. Six feet and six inches tall, Magrane was an imposing presence on the mound as a player, and he finished 1988 as the National League leader in earned run average at 2.18 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He also finished fourth in Cy Young Award voting in 1989.
