| John Smiley (born March 17, 1965) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for four teams, the Pittsburgh Pirates, Minnesota Twins, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians in a 12 year career from 1986 to 1997. He was a two time All-Star in 1991 with the Pirates, a season in which Smiley led the National League in wins with twenty and finished third in the Cy Young Award balloting that season and in 1995 with the Reds, a season in which he had 12 wins and five losses.
