John Wesley "Johnny Lam" Jones (born April 4, 1958) is a former American athlete, winner of gold medal in 4x100 m relay at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, John Wesley Jones was sixth in 100 m and ran the second leg in the American 4x100 m relay team, which won the gold medal at the Montreal Olympics.

NFL Career

Jones was drafted by the New York Jets in 1980 from the University Of Texas. He played wide receiver. Since Jones was a world class sprinter, he could beat any coverage, but had trouble catching the football.

Post-NFL Career

Jones is now suffering with myeloma cancer that affects bone marrow in the legs.
