Kalen Thornton (born May 12, 1982 in Dallas, Texas) is a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys. He played in six games in the 2004 season and missed the 2005 season because of injuries. Thornton graduated high school from St. Mark's School of Texas. He played college football at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was an All-Conference defensive end as well as an Academic All-Conference student-athlete.

His father Bruce also played football for the Cowboys, while his brother Kyle plays for Texas. His youngest brother Kenton, also starred for St. Mark's before doing a post-graduate year at Blair Academy, where he was prep offensive player of the year in New Jersey. He now plays for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
