Kenny "The Jet" Smith (born March 8, 1965 in Queens, New York) is a former pro basketball player and current TV announcer. When Smith graduated from North Carolina in 1987, he held the school record for most assists with 768.

Kenny Smith is a NBA studio analyst for the TNT show, Inside the NBA. Before he got his job as a sports announcer in 1998, Smith played nine seasons in the NBA.

During his career, Smith played for the Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, and the Atlanta Hawks. In his rookie year, he was named to the "rookie team" with 13.8 points and 7.1 assists per game while playing with the Sacramento Kings. Smith won the 1994 and 1995 NBA championships with the Houston Rockets. He is also Rockets' all-time leader in three point field goal percentage with .407 and best field goal percentage of all NBA guards.

Smith has recently been criticized for his judging at the 2006 Slam Dunk contest. In the final round, Smith polled the other judges on what score they were awarding Andre Igoudala's attempt, and gave a score such that Igoudala's total would equal eventual winner Nate Robinson's, thus leading to a sudden death "dunk-off".

Smith also created the Kenny Smith North Carolina Boy and Girls Basketball Camp. The camp teaches young boys and girls about the rules and the game of basketball.

Smith attended Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens.
