Kirk Patrick Snyder (born June 5 1983 in Los Angeles, California) is a professional basketball player in the NBA.

Snyder spent his college career at the Nevada. In 2004, Snyder lead the Wolf Pack to it's first Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament. During that NCAA trip they beat No.2 seed Gonzaga, Michigan State, but lost in the third round to eventual national runner-up Georgia Tech. In 2005, Nevadfa made it back to the NCAA ance making it past the 1st round, but later loosing to No.1 Illinois.

He was drafted in the first round (16th overall) of the 2004 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. After one season he was traded to the New Orleans Hornets as part of the largest trade in NBA history.

On February 4, 2006 he delivered one of the most electrifying, viscious dunks in NBA history. On a fastbreak against the Lakers, guard Speedy Claxton threw Snyder a pass and he took off, dunking on Lakers rookie guard Von Wafer, nearly clearing him. This boom got the Hornets fans on their feet en route to a 106-90 win.

Kirk Snyder is a versatile player. He was traded to the New Orlean Hornets, where he has become a starter. He scored his career high of 28 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
