High school career

As a senior at Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, New Jersey, Johnson won second team All-State recognition, All-County honors, and All-Area honors.

College and Pro Career

After he went onto play for Syracuse University, he was drafted by the Broncos as the 10th pick in the 5th round of the 2002 National Football League draft.
