| Lawrence Joseph Doyle (born July 31, 1886 in Caseyville, IL, died March 1, 1974 in Saranac Lake) was a baseball player for the New York Giants (1907-1916, 1918-1920), and the Chicago Cubs (1916-1917). Named Giants field captain by John McGraw in 1908. The second baseman won the National League Chalmers Award in the 1912 season. Doyle also led the New York Giants to the World Series from 1911-1913. 1911 & 1915 Baseball Magazine selection as 2nd Baseman on their NL All-America Team.
