| Leon Hart (November 2, 1928 near Pittsburgh - September 24, 2002) was an American football player. He played End for the University of Notre Dame. He won the Heisman Trophy in 1949 and became the first End to be drafted #1 overall in the NFL Draft, in 1950. Leon Hart is famous for being the only offensive lineman to win the Heisman Trophy, which he did in 1949 for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
